did you know...

...that the netherlands band donald duck because he doesn't wear pants?
...that there are 1,200 people that live in antarctica!

you are looking at the oregon scientific smart globe- the latest in juvenile education. a modern day geo-safari, the smart globe is the answer to all of your problems. no really though, this is the coolest thing. my nephews got one a few months ago and my nieces just got one for christmas... but i don't think anyone has spent more time exploring this amazing world, via smart globe, as i have. here are a few of my favorite features-
the smart pen- touch any where on the globe, listen and learn.
update capabilities- you can plug the smart globe into your computer and download the most recent political, social and geographical changes.
challenges- this is so fun. the smart globe gives you a certain amount of time and some dramatic music as it asks you to locate various countries. until recently my 15 year old nephew held the family record (96 countries found) but after a few weeks of intense training i was able to sneak by with 104 countries. it's a constant battle.
languages, national anthems, interesting facts, history, government... the smart globe knows it all.
thanks smart globe... thmart globe.

the fact that Donald Duck was banned crack me up-- one of my favorite "Friends" lines is Chandler cracking a joke about Donald's lack of pants. Hope all is well!
Oh, and I can't believe 1,200 people live in Antarctica-
